This privacy policy covers castlehotels.org. The site is published by CastleHotels.org. You can reach us about your data through our contact form.

What we collect and why

Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email address and message, so we can reply. For rent-a-castle and wedding enquiries we pass your details to the castles you ask about only when you tick the consent box. Forms are delivered to us by Web3Forms, which processes them on our behalf.

Analytics: if you allow it in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to count visits and clicks on Check prices buttons. Without your consent no analytics cookies are set; Google may still receive a cookieless signal that a page was loaded.

Affiliate links: when you click Check prices you go to Booking.com, whose own privacy policy then applies.

Legal basis and how long we keep data

We handle form messages on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in answering you, and keep them for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed for a booking you arrange. Analytics runs only on your consent and you can withdraw it at any time on our cookie policy page.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use or withdraw consent. Contact us through the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
