Castell Deudraeth is a house castellated in the 1840s, not a defensive castle. Only its 11 rooms sit inside the castellated building; other rooms are elsewhere in the village.

A Victorian house built from 1849 to 1851 in French chateau style, not a defensive castle. Some rooms are in the original house, others in separate lodge and cottage buildings.

Ruthin, Denbighshire

A castellated mansion built from 1825 and enlarged in the 1840s on the site of a medieval castle demolished after a 1646 siege. Guests sleep in the 19th-century mansion, not the medieval remains.
